Originally from the Wirral, but have spent the past 4 years living in Liverpool surrounded by art, music and culture. Moving away from home at 18 to start a degree in marketing made me realise art was my true passion in life and that I couldn’t do a regular 9-5 office job. So I took a year out and re-applied to study Fine Art at Liverpool Hope. I started with barely any knowledge as I missed 3 years of learning and found it hard to find my ‘niche’ but after a lot of long nights and some tears, I found the art style that I adore.
My art is what I’m feeling even though it might not look that way. I love to listen to House/Techno music when I’m painting and I think that’s why you’ll see my paintings have that groovy kind of feel to them, i try to connect the music to my paintings that’s why lot of my Instagram posts will have the music I resonated with while painting specific pieces.
I work on canvas, canvas board and wood using collage and then going over them with acrylic paint. I would describe my art style as abstract but drawing inspiration from pop art. These combined for me are what take my paintings to the next level and show the funky/groovy feel I want them to give off.
I’m currently available for commission work and also have an online Etsy store where you can buy prints of paintings.
